Original cartons and moving boxes
This is a measurement method, not a product specification.
An original retail carton is the box the manufacturer shipped. A replacement or moving box is a different object, often built for a size class rather than one model. Using one in place of the other produces a confident number about the wrong thing.
On a model page, a carton figure is shown only when the manufacturer’s page lists that carton for this market. A US carton and another region’s carton can differ for a similar model name. A replacement box’s dimensions are never presented here as the manufacturer’s retail carton.
Carton width, height and depth describe the package, not the path into a car or a doorway. You still need the opening you will pass through, the interior space, and the orientations the packaging and the manufacturer allow. A rectangle that is smaller than an opening on paper can still jam on a turn, a lip or a seat rail. A result that rules out one straight orientation does not prove every other orientation is impossible, and a result that fits on paper is not a handling instruction.
Read the carton marks and the product’s transport guidance. If the manufacturer says to keep the package upright, a geometric exercise that finds a flat orientation possible is not permission to lay the box down.
If this site does not have an original carton from the manufacturer for the model, use the manufacturer’s specification or measure the box in front of you. Do not borrow a figure from a different size or a different brand.
